- Lot Description
Card Appearance Frame. European, ca. 1910. Nickel-plated wand with open metal framework at its top. On command, a playing card visibly appears in the frame, which may be opened to remove it. Intricate spring-loaded mechanism pulls a silk shade through the card causing its appearance. Height 13 ??. Requires new fabric, otherwise good working condition. Rare; the first example we have encountered.
