Carry On! N.p [Australia]: STL, ca. 1914. Lithograph war poster depicting British field marshal Herbert Horatio Kitchener. This is a variant of the iconic Lord Kitchener Wants You poster, designed by Alfred Leete (1882 ? 1933). Leete?s design inspired James Montgomery Flagg?s famous ?I Want You.? A holding of this poster in the Imperial War Museum identifies this as an Australian printing. 29 7/8 x 19 15/16?. Backed on rice paper. Over-painting in image and at edges; restoration along original folds. B+/B. IWM PST12207. RARE.
