- Lot Description
Catalin ?Gem of Modern Plastics? No. 103 Sample Card. New York: American Catalin Corporation, ca. 1920s-1930s. Sample card with 35 small round Bakelite-like samples, including one Lucite sample. Each sample ?? diameter. Card is 8 ? x 6?. Some wear to card, ownership stamps on front and rear. Excellent. Rare. Catalin began creating a Bakelite imitation in 1927 when the patent expired for the Bakelite Company.
