Checker Cabinet. Las Vegas: Okito-Nielsen, 1990s. Classic transposition effect involving a stack of checkers and a short glass tumbler. The items magically travel between one of three compartments in a magnificently decorated temple-like cabinet and a matching decorated cover. Cabinet 20 x 7 x 15?. Maker?s plate to rear. Near fine. An outstanding example of the craftsmanship and finishing taught to Norm Nielsen by Okito in the late 1950s in Chicago.
