[CHERET, Jules (1836-1932)]. MAINDRON, Ernest. Les Affiches Illustrees. Collection of 18 lithograph plates. Paris: Librairie Artistique, 1896. This group of 18 (out of 20) chromolithographed miniature Cheret posters was extracted from Ernest Maindron?s first history of the poster Les Affiches Illustrees, edited by G. Boudet. This work and Ernest Maindron were highly influential in the development and publication of miniaturized lithographed poster art.?This work was limited to a printing of only 1025 copies. Dimensions of each plate 9? x 12 ??. Each mounted on a custom cut ornamental mat. Not removed from mats but appear to be in excellent condition.
