Publisher?s black cloth ruled in blind and titled in gilt, raised bands, compartments lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers, t.e.g. Frontispiece of a bird?s-eye view of Chicago in 1857. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs. Heavy 4to. Gentle marring to cloth, corners slightly rubbed; else clean and tight.
