[CHICAGO]. Group of 21 Medals or Pins for Sporting or Music Events, Awarded from Chicago Newspapers. [Chicago: 1910s-1930s]. Pins and medals from the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Chicago American. Including nine medals with ribbons, six medals without ribbons, and five award pins. Some general wear, soiling, some engraved on verso, (one, Chicago Tribune Golden Gloves 1938 is awarded to Henry Smith, which is the only one engraved a person - the rest are generally engraved), generally good. Events include: Chicagoland Music Festival, Golden Gloves Tournament, Prize War Gardener, R.O.T.C, Swimming Meet, Bracket Champion (tennis), Silver Skates Derbies, Water Carnival, and more.
