[CHICAGO MOB MURDER]. Taken for a Ride in Chicago. [Chicago, ca. 1920s]. Poster with two black and white photographs affixed to poster. Photographs depict the gory aftermath of a Chicago gangland murder. Printed posterboard with text. 22 x 14?. Photographs 8 x 10?. Poster worn, soiled, chipped, creased, photographs toned, soiled; pencil notes on front and rear of poster, ink markings on rear of poster. Photos captioned on posterboard as follows: ?Here are two pictures of the FIRST MAN taken for a ?ride? in Chicago. He was never identified. Notice hands, legs, and ears cut off, then body covered with gasoline and burned.? A startling and unusual item. From the original Charles W. Stanley Death Car & Crime Show.
