- Lot Description
CHING, Albert. Blooming Rose Bush. San Francisco: Stull Magic, 1940s. Mechanical blooming plant owned and used by Albert Ching, a Chavez Course graduate who presented the effect as part of his manipulative magic routine on The Ed Sullivan Show. In performance, the plant visibly grew feather flowers at the ends of the branches in full view of the audience. Hallmarked by the maker. In fair to poor condition, well-worn from use and age, and retaining the original shipping crate. 15 x 15 x 28?. Obtained by the consignor directly from the performer. The only such Stull-made prop we have encountered.
