Chislett, Thomas. Spirits in the House. (Birmingham): Goodliffe, (1949). First and only edition. Pebbled blue cloth stamped in gilt. Frontispiece of Spirit Paintings, illustrations and plates. Small 8vo. Very good. Chislett?s book, something of an underground classic, describes how to turn the parlor of any home into a s?ance room, outfitted with gimmicks and devices to produce ghostly effects, ala the celebrated work of David P. Abbott.
