[CIGARETTE CARDS]. A Group of 25 ?Historical Events Series? Cards, Including an Oversize Card, by Hoffman House Magnums. [New Jersey: Hoffman House, ca. 1890s-1900s]. Cards with color portraits of historical events on fronts, descriptive text on versos. Approximately 2 ? x 3 ??; oversize card (The Signing of the Declaration of Independence) 3 ? x 6 ?? unfolded. Some general rubbing, occasional soiling, toning, creasing. Very good (all ungraded). Some of the events depicted include: The Landing of the Pilgrims, Reading of the Declaration of Independence, Trial Trip of Fulton?s First Steamboat, Perry on Lake Erie, Surrender of Gen. Lee, Custer?s Last Rally, Placing the Statue of Liberty in N. Y. Harbor, Dewey at Battle of Manilla, and more.
