Illustrated with 13 plates. 266, [2, blank] pp. Publisher's full brown cloth, front board stamped in black, front board and spine stamped in gilt, floral endleaves (recased with later free endpapers, binding worn, soiled, text toned, soiled, occasionally foxed). Good. FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR ON THE FIRST BLANK IN PENCIL: ?To Mrs. Samdin with kind regards of the Author / Dickison Chapter U D C [?] [on verso of front blank: ?Mrs. Samdin"].
