The War Between the Union and the Confederacy and Its Lost Opportunities with a History of the 15th Alabama Regiment and the Forty-Eight Battles in Which it Was Engaged. New York and Washington: The Neale Publishing Company, 1905. 8vo. Illustrated. 808 pp. Publisher's full gray cloth, front board stamped in red, white, and blue, front board and spine lettered in gilt (spine toned and lightly edgeworn, light rubbing to corners, front hinge just starting, endleaves and text a bit toned, a few gutters slightly overopened, some occasional foxing in text and plate). Fine. FIRST EDITION (even though the title-page states ?Fifth Thousand," it appears all copies of the first edition are so noted). ??opinionated, but generally reliable?" Howes O2.
