[CIVIL WAR]. SCOTT, Kate M. (1837-1911). History of the One Hundred and Fifth Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers? From the Beginning to the Close of the War, 1861-1865. Philadelphia: New-World Publishing Company, 1877. 8vo. Illustrated with plates. 329, [1, blank] pp. Publisher's embossed full rust cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt, brown coated endleaves (spine a bit dull, light rubbing to spine and corners, hinges starting, minor occasional foxing). A fine copy of this beautifully-produced book. FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY BY SCOTT, INSCRIBED ON THE FIRST BLANK: ?To Rev. C. H. A. Bulkley, Howard University. With Compliments of Kate M. Scott, Brookville, Pa, Nov. 5, 1889." Bulkley (1818-1893) was a Presbyterian minister and published poet. Scott was a regimental nurse for the 105th Regiment. This regiment suffered great losses at Gettysburg and the Wilderness. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 10 x 8 x 1".
