Clockwork Smoking Window Nodder Automaton. German. Smiling figure with checkered pants, black coat, hat, and bow tie; when activated, the head nods back and forth ad infinitum, as the cigarette in the figure?s lips moves back-and-forth in a pattern opposite to the figure?s moving eyes. Clockwork mechanism in chest, brass cigarette holder in mouth. Original clothing and finish (soiled and chipped). Height 21?. Hands chipped.
