Coffee Drinking Automaton. Circa 1965. Seated moor with striped costume and red fez pours coffee into the cup, lifts same to his lips, and drinks it ad infinitum when the figure is activated. The figure also tilts his head and wiggles his eyebrows as the action proceeds. With a name plate below the figure, ?Issasse,? and a hand-painted Chase and Sanborn plaque affixed to the front of the platform. Instructions for care and use affixed inside base. With a handsome wooden and cast metal stand. Overall height inclusive of stand 71?. Good working condition.
