  COMINES, Philippe de (1447?1511). The Historie of Philip de Commines Knight, Lord of Argenton. Translated by Thomas Danett (1543?1601). London: A. John Bill, 1614. Small folio (267 x 179 mm). Historiated woodcut title with bootstrap framing bearing the royal arms and motto of Burghley, and the printer?s beehive device, several large initial woodcut capitals and tail?pieces throughout, 17 pp. genealogical table at end. (Title?page slightly trimmed at edges, several leaves also trimmed, some marginal browning). 19th century half morocco, marbled sides, raised bands, gilt?lettering in compartments, stamp?signed by Wood of London (spine sunned, some rubbing at corners).
