[COOKERY AND HOME MANAGEMENT]. Group of 3 Titles, Plus a Vintage Manuscript Recipe Book. [V.p., ca, 18th century]. 8vos, manuscript is a small 4to. Books either rebound to style in modern leather or rebacked in modern leather ? manuscript in contemporary quarter calf (some wear, soiling to books, ownership markings, manuscript heavily worn with loose boards, text generally toned, soiled, several plates soiled). Generally fair or better. Titles include: The Lady?s Complete Guide by Mrs. Mary Cole (New Edition, Improved); The Experienced English Housekeeper? by Elizabeth Raffald (third edition, signed by the author on p. [1], one plate supplied in photocopy); A Treatise of All Sorts of Foods? by M. Lemery (fourth English edition, title-page chipped and mounted). The manuscript is undated, and the author may be ?Mrs. D. Smith,? as signed on the fp. Measurements: 9 x 7 x 1?.
