COPPERFIELD, David (b. 1956). Exploding Building Escape Brick. 1989. A shard of red common brick from the Whitehouse Hotel, imploded on the Magic of David Copperfield XI in his Locked Inside routine of March 3, 1989. Copperfield escaped from the building, reappearing outside of the rubble on live television. With an engraved brass plaque affixed.
Housed in a wooden souvenir box from Copperfield's islands in the Bahamas, originally used to house a Christmas gift from Copperfield.
