A bikini-clad woman holds a sword in each hand while a third is thrust down her throat. 93 x 115?. Signed at lower right. Wear due to age and exposure. ?Tattoo Jack? Cripe began his show business career as a tattooist, banner painter, and sword swallower, adopting the moniker ?Baron von Kripe.? Over the course of his career he worked with other well-known banner painters such as Snap Wyatt and Bobby Wicks. He is one of the few sideshow banner painters to have one of his artworks displayed at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
