CUNNINGHAM, Imogen (American, 1883 - 1976) Magnolia Blossoms. 1925. Silver gelatin print. Image: 9 ? x 12 ? ?. Mat: 16 x 20?. Printed by The Imogen Cunningham Trust (label verso). Photograph dry-mounted. Unframed. Small scratch with emulsion loss of 1/16? with scuff of slightly larger area upper left quadrant. Scuffs lower left corner slightly into emulsion. A few more scuffs and dents in random areas. Imogen Cunningham was an innovative American photographer, best known for her botanicals, nudes and captivating portraits of celebrities and artists. She was a member of the California-based Group f/64, known for its dedication to the sharp-focus rendition of simple subjects.
