- Lot Description
Cups and Balls Magician Automaton. Electro-mechanical automaton depicting a wizard at a table, holding two metal cups. The wizard would perform a series of vanishes and color changes with balls from under the cups. Signed on the metal case under the table drape, ?Lanusse 3/86.? On wooden base, the figure wearing a velvet robe and hat, with painted plaster-composition head and hands. Title plaque to front. Figure?s head moves side to side, balls change underneath the cups, and red lights on necklace pendant light up, but arms do not raise, and sound is non-functional; will require repair. Approx. 33 ? x 20 x 20?. Collection of John Mendoza. Third-party shipping required.
