Vernon, Dai (David Frederick Wingfield Verner). Dale Vernon Table Tent. Circa 1940. Advertising ?Dale? at the One Park Cocktail Lounge, New York, with internal text heralding him as the ?Man Who Fooled Houdini,? the famous Hal Phyfe photograph of Vernon at the recto. Folded size 6 ? x 4 ??. Uncommon. Examples of a large-format version of this brochure come to market from time to time, used to advertise Vernon?s services as an entertainer in a general way; this is the first version we have encountered in this size, imprinted for a specific venue at which ?The Professor? was working.
