VERNON, Dai (1894 - 1992). Scrapbook commemorating Dai Vernon's 1976 Grand Island lecture. 1976. Compiled by Robert K. Weill, the oversized folio includes 38 photos, many showing Vernon lecturing for a group of magicians in Grand Island New York, and candid color images of Vernon at a pre-lecture party and a banquet in his honor. All neatly mounted, with typed captions. Related memorabilia accompanies the photographs. Others pictured include Mel Stover, Joe Cossari, Sid Lorraine, and Ross Bertram. A reproduction of Vernon's business card decorates the front cover. Small oblong folio, comb bound. Fold line to front cover, first leaf broken. Good condition. One of only a handful made by Weill.
