This is an auction replete with standouts. Works by Magritte, Tamayo, Paschke, Wirsum and multiple mixed media collages and prints from the celebrated Tony Fitzpatrick will cross the block. A significant work by Bill Traylor leads the Outsider Art session, alongside major works by Finster, Yoakum, Dial, Sparrow, and Dawson. Folk art includes a carved grotto Jesus and Devil train set sculpture from Wisconsin, and three oversize leaves by Ivan Albright lead the fine art session. DAVISON (20th century). Picture Frame - Two. 1968. Signed, dated, numbered 2-15, and inscribed with the title in pencil in the margin. Screenprint on paper. Image 13 3/4 x 13 3/4". Frame 22 1/2 x 22 1/2 x 1 1/2".
Condition
Paper cockling and minor staining, otherwise good.
Behind glass. Not examined out of the frame.
