De MANFRE, Blaise. The Water Spouter. [1794, though later]. Engraving of a ?water-spouter? on paper. Visible area: 9 x 7?. Some minor toning. Framed and glazed (frame size: 10 x 8?). On the verso, there is the following ink inscription: ?this made from original engraving. Original copper plate in the collection of H. Adair [?] Smith ? from the Houdini Collection?. This image is reproduced on p. 272 of Houdini?s the Unmasking of Robert-Houdin (1909). It is unclear if this particular engraving was owned by Houdini. From the collection of Ken Klosterman and his ?Salon de Magie.?
