DEAN, Henry. Hocus Pocus, or the Whole Art of Legerdemain in Perfection. Glasgow: [Robert Anderson], 1886 (facsimile of the 1797 Glasgow edition). Plain paper-backed covers, printed spine label. Frontispiece. Illustrated. 4to. Bookplates of Edwin Dawes and Richard Armour. Foxed, spine chipped. See Toole Stott 222. A note preceding the text states, ?The price of this four shillings and sixpence. If you cannot raise four shillings and sixpence honestly, do not buy the book." This is the variant printing produced on cheaper paper.
