[DELPIRE, Robert, 1926-2017, editor]. Permanence du Cirque. Paris: Revue Neuf, [1952]. 4to. Illustrated with photographs of circus performers and circus-related artwork by Calder, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec, etc. Original full green cloth, pictorial paper label on front board, spine lettered in gilt (spine sunned, rubbed, boards sunned, rubbed at edges, some foxing to boards, some soiling to text, bookplate of Jose Dugardein, several gutters overopened, some leaves with tape residue at gutters). Very good. FIRST EDITION, THIS COPY SIGNED BY FRENCH LION TAMER GILBERT HOUCKE ON P. 63.
