[DOWNTOWN SCENE]. KERN, Richard (American, b. 1954). R. Kern Scumbag Super-8's. 1995. Published to promote screenings of Kern's films at the National Film Theatre. With images of Lydia Lunch, Marty Nations, Lung Leg (this image used as the cover for Sonic Youth's Evol), Cassandra Stark, Linda Serby, David Wojnarowicz, and Karen Finley. Kern is known for his association with the Cinema of Transgression movement, a term from Nick Zedd to describe the overlapping artistic preferences of artists including himself, Richard Kern, and Lydia Lunch, among others. SIGNED in red felt marker on cover. 11 ? x 8". Toned to perimeter; corners bumped.
