- Lot Description
Duplex Magic Chair (Multiplying Chairs). Hamburg: Bartl, 1920s. The magician ushers a boy on stage, and seeing only one chair for the two of them, suddenly changes one chair in to two by ?splitting? the seat on stage visibly and without cover. Sturdy wooden construction with orange and black finish. See the Bartl-Willmann catalog of 1922 at page 31. Worn finish, but sturdy and in very good condition. Uncommon.
