D'YLEN, Jean (1866?1938). Chantier Houiller. 1924. Paris: Vercasson. Color lithograph coal advertising poster. A miner emerges from a tunnel on a cart loaded with coal, his face and arms covered in soot. His yellow overalls are a reference to the yellow canary miners relied on to signal dangerous gasses. Linen backed. A. 63 ? x 43 ?".
