?Easter Bonnet? Master Prediction System. California: Bill Smith Magic Ventures, 1980s. The first Master Prediction System built, based on Dick Zimmerman?s design. The price named by several audience members appears inscribed on the hat?s price tag inside the oversize hatbox which has been in full view throughout the performance. Hat box 8? x 17??; base: 1? x 15? x 15 ??. Good; some velvet missing from lid; hat box lining peeling slightly.Performed by Diana Zimmerman at an Easter-themed show, participants were asked to ?create? a hat by choosing different elements to decorate it, and then settle on the price of the hat. When the hatbox was opened, inside was the appropriately decorated hat with the very price chosen by audience volunteers. The trick and its methodology was later developed into the popular Master Prediction Chest by its creator, Dick Zimmerman.
