On a cast iron base lettered ?Quotations Furnished by Western Union Telegraph Co / Apply to Local Manager? and plaque, ?This authentic old self-winding stock ticker was designed by Thomas A. Edison in 1870?? With an ink box, paper spool, and glass dome. On a wooden Western Union cabinet stand. With six rolls of unused ticker tape paper. Ticker height (without dome) 11?; diameter at base 8?; cabinet 30 ? x 18 x 18?; height together approx. 41?. Some dust accumulation; may need cleaning.
