Illustrated ?with over one hundred drawings from life? by Marshall D. Smith. Publisher?s full green cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt (some moderate wear, soiling to binding, gilt a bit tarnished, small spot to front board, one small spot of scuffing on rear board, corners a bit bumped, text toned, a few gutters overopened. FIRST EDITION OF THIS RARE AND IMPORTANT BOOK. Very good. Perhaps the most important book on sleight-of-hand with cards, Erdnase?s work is best known by its cover title, The Expert at the Card Table. In the 120 years since its initial publication, the book has never been out of print.
