Ernst Arnold Coppersmith Sign. Circa 1900-1902. Open-cut copper sign. Includes the number "325" at top, which correlates to an advertisement in the 1901 "The Textile World's Official Directory," page 31, for Arnold at 325 South 8th St. in Reading, PA. Ad mentions "My specialty is copper work for dyhouses, chemical works and hat factories."
14 1/2 x 28".
Condition
Polished, but abrasions, scratches, and wear in areas.
