Illustrated with frontispieces and plates in 2 states. Complete in 20 volumes. Bound in contemporary half red levant morocco over red cloth boards, spines ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartments, four raised bands, top edges gilt, marbled endleaves (minor occasional rubbing to bindings). Fine. FIRST STATE OF THE LIBRARY EDITION (AUTOGRAPH EDITION), #269/1,000 PRINTED ON JAPANESE VELLUM. WITH AN AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED BY AINSWORTH INSERTED INTO VOLUME I.
