[FINE BINDINGS AND SETS]. RIDPATH, John Clark (1840-1900). Ridpath's History of the World... New York: Phillips & Hunt, [1885]. Folios. Profusely illustrated. 8 volumes. Contemporary half red morocco over marbled boards, spines ruled, tooled, and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, marbled endleaves, top edges gilt.
Condition
Spines toned, bindings edgeworn with some soiling, bumping, endleaves possibly later, hinges just starting. Very good. EDITION DE LUXE, #629/1,000 COPIES SIGNED BY RIDPATH.
