[FINE BINDINGS]. [BIBLE IN GERMAN]. Allgemeines Gesangbuch... Altona: Capy. Christ., 1785. Thick small 8vo. Woodcuts in text. 1207, [26, Register], 64, [32] pp. Handsomely bound in near contemporary full burgundy morocco, boards elaborately stamped in blind and ruled in gilt, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, metal (brass?) clasp, all edges gauffered in gilt, yellow coated endleaves.
Condition
Front joint cracked and spine loose at front joint, front board a bit loose, edgeworn, hinges cracking, text occasionally soiled. Very good. Housed in near contemporary case with pull-off lid. "Bierte Ausgabe" FOURTH (?) EDITION OF THIS VERSION OF THE BIBLE IN GERMAN.
