A significant work by Bill Traylor leads the Outsider Art session, alongside major works by Finster, Yoakum, Dial, Sparrow, and Dawson. Tony Fitzpatrick was a complex and beloved figure in the Chicago art scene. He passed away last year at the age of 66. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Fitzpatrick had a diverse range of interests and careers, including boxing, poetry, acting, playwriting, authorship, and art. He was best known as a printmaker and collage artist, and also created notable drawings on slate and craft paper. A champion of both prominent and lesser-known artists, his iconic presence will be greatly missed.
