Original morocco decorated in blind and gilt, spine with raised bands and gilt?lettering in compartments, gilt dentelles, all edges gilt, each concealing a FORE?EDGE PAINTING of Native American scenes including scalping enemies, hunting buffalo, tribal dancing, villages, etc.
