[Fine Binding] Egan, Pierce. Four Finely Bound Works by Pierce Egan. Titles include Sporting Anecdotes (1825; half crimson levant, raised bands, gilt centerpieces of sporting images); Pierce Egan?s Book of Sports? (1832; half red morocco, elaborately gilt compartments; front board starting with slight separation at joint); The Life of Extraordinary Adventures of Samuel Denmore Hayward (1822; half crushed morocco over marbled boards, raised bands, compartments with gilt fleuron centerpieces; frontispiece by Cruikshank); and The Show Folks (1831; full crimson morocco tooled in gilt, dentelle turn-ins). 8vo/12mo. Generally very good.
