Fox, Imro. Imro Fox?s Original Brooks Escape Trunk. Circa 1900. Heavy and finely constructed hump-back trunk crafted from sturdy hardwood and bound with brass. In performance, Brooks would be locked into the trunk and make his escape in a flash, despite the secure nature of the box. A large and substantial prop; 39 x 27 ? x 29?. With three trays (crafted later) stacking internally. Owned and used by Herbert Brooks and Imro Fox. See Salon de Magie, page 196.
