French bijou playing cards set. France, 19th century. Two wee-sized decks of cards (both 52) in a hinged leather case with compartments, lined with light pale pink plush silk (case rubbed, silk frayed). Decks engraved and hand-stenciled in colors and gilt. Tan and green backs. In paper cases. Named courts (David, Hogier, Lancelot, etc.). Decks 2 1/8 x 1 ??.
