Gaffed Roulette Wheel. Chicago: A. Ball & Bro. Makers, ca. 1930. A beautiful professional size roulette wheel with a built-in gaff. A hidden button under the outside rim pushes a piece of wood out from the ball track that will divert the ball into a certain section of pockets. Thus the dealer is able to keep the ball away from numbers (or a range of numbers) which carry the largest bets. 32? diameter. With later wooden display base, with green felt and on later legs.
