[Gambling] Harte, Francis Bret (1836?1902). The Heathen Chinee. Chicago: The Western News Company, 1870. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING with all first issue BAL points present for each illustration. Early full leather gilt ruled and lettered, dentelle turn-ins, floral endpapers, all edges gilt (backstrip perished, covers detached and rubbed). Full-page lithographed plates by Joseph Hull. 8vo. Features the Chinese card playing cheat, Ah Sin. BAL 7248.
