GARZONI, Tomaso (1549-1589). La Piazza Universale. Venice: Pietro Maria, Bertano, 1626. Small 4to (8 ? x 6 ??). Contemporary limp vellum, later manuscript paper label on spine (binding worn and chipped, hinges cracked, later ink notations on ffep, a few gutters cracked, a few loose pages). Good. LATER VENICE EDITION OF THIS TITLE. This book is an interesting look at the professions of Garzoni?s day, including clerics, nobles, schoolmasters, students, and, of course, magicians.
