Giant Horse. Cincinnati, OH: The Donaldson Litho. Co., ca. 1920s. Color lithograph featuring a massive dark brown horse towering over several figures, including a man riding a horse, two children, a smaller horse, a miniature horse, and a man in riding attire holding a measuring stick. Boasts ?21 Hands High / The Largest on the Western Continent." Perhaps depicts Lubber, a horse born in Nebraska in 1921 who stood at 21 hands high and was exhibited across the U.S. Midwest at shows and fairs. Unmounted. Marginal tears, creases, holes, and staining. Old folds, along which are tears and losses. C+. Dawes label to verso. 30 x 40 ?".
