GORBACHEV, Valeri (b. 1944). Pair of Original Paintings for His Books. [Ca. 2006-08]. Watercolors and ink on paper. Both signed at lower right corner, one is inscribed by Gorbachev to Dr. Dornish at bottom. Sight approximately 10 ? x 9 ?? and 10 ? x 7 ??. Both matted and framed under plexiglass. Sizes of frames approximately 14 ? x 13 ?? and 14 ? x 12 ??. Fine. Titles include: Turtle?s Penguin Day and Heron and Turtle. Gorbachev is a prolific children?s book author and illustrator, with numerous titles published in both Eastern Europe and the United States. Neither examined out of frame. With an inscribed copy of Turtle?s Penguin Day. From the J. Robert and Alice Dornish Collection of Autographed Picture Books and Original Art.
