GOUFFE, Mons. MONS.?GOUFFE THE MAN-MONKEY! JOCKO! OR THE BRAZILIAN MONKEY.?[London, 1834]. Letterpress broadside for a double-bill performance at the Theatre Sans Souci, Leicester Square. Striking central woodcut shows two man-size apes and a man in striped pants wielding a saber. 23? ? 7?". Foxed, with margins trimmed close, one tear reinforced with tissue. A contemporary holographic note in the right margin states, ?This man?s real name was Hornshaw: he was a native of Walworth, Surrey.?
