Grand United Order of Odd Fellows Apron. (G.U.O.O.F.). Circa 1860-70s. Hand painted and lithographed image on silk with metallic trim and tassel belt. Features the organization's seal, emblems, and motto in Latin ?Amicitia / Amor / et Veritas" (Friendship, Love, and Truth). The G.U.O.O.F. was founded in 1843 by and for African Americans. Silk worn and torn in areas throughout. Good condition. 17 ? x 17 x ?".
